Mr Viral Shah is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He completed sub-specialty training in joint replacement, trauma and shoulder surgery in Japan and the USA, as well as at St. Vincent Hospital, Sydney and The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne.
Mr Shah is devoted to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. He has a special interest in latest technology assisted and less invasive joint replacements, sports injuries and complex fractures. He also has wide experience in complex joint problems including hip, knee, shoulder, elbow. Mr Shah is committed to delivering high quality medical care. He believes in incorporating technology and advancements in treatment, into his practice
Mr Shah is actively involved in medical education and is currently a member of Royal Australian College of Surgeons Educators Committee. He is current associate lecturer at Melbourne University and has been a conjoint lecturer at Flinder’s University for many years. Mr Shah is also a member of many professional peak body organisations related to medicine and Orthopaedics.
Mr Shah places a strong emphasis on the importance of clear and honest communication with his patients with consulting appointments spaced out to allow thorough discussion time regarding treatment options.
Mr Shah consults and operates at various hospitals in Melbourne, Shepparton Private Hospital, Goulburn Valley Health, Kyabram District Hospital and Numurkah District Hospital.
