Dr Wayne Ng

Dr Wayne Ng is a Gold Coast spine and neurosurgeon who focusses on skull-base surgery, neuro-oncology and clinical research. Using state-of-theart facilities and the latest technology, including Gold Coast Private Hospital’s fully-equipped Kinevo 900 microscope with digital hybrid visualisation, Dr Ng offers first-class neurosurgical treatment.

Dr Ng completed his Ph.D in neuro-oncology in 2016 at the University of Melbourne, focusing on pre-clinical cancer stem cell models and cancer biology. He completed his clinical training as a Neurosurgical Fellow at Austin Hospital, Melbourne in 2017 which included experience in epilepsy, deep brain biopsies, deep brain stimulation and spine surgery. He then undertook further clinical training in skull-base pathologies at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, England.

Dr Ng is actively involved in clinical and scientific research projects with a passion in using technology to translate scientific research into clinical solutions. He is dedicated to providing ongoing training and education and is a current senior lecturer at Griffith University School of Medicine.

Dr Ng is fluent in Cantonese and has admitting rights at Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.
