A/Prof William Blakeney

A/Prof Blakeney is an orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in shoulder, hip, and knee surgery. He is a local graduate having completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia and then advanced training in orthopaedic surgery in Western Australia.

A/Prof Blakeney then travelled around the world to gain further international experience. He completed fellowship training in shoulder and sports knee surgery at the Santy FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Lyon, France. He spent 12 months in Montreal, Canada doing a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery, and a diploma in hip and knee joint reconstruction with the University of Montreal. He also completed an AO trauma surgery fellowship in Nashville, USA. 

A/Prof Blakeney has a keen interest in orthopaedic research. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications in the orthopaedic literature.
