Mr Yahya Al-Habbal

Yahya has an extensive career in surgery, working in various countries to accumulate diverse training and experience. He initiated his basic surgical training in Iraq at a busy trauma centre before moving on to the UAE and the UK, where he completed his basic training and earned the title of Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI).

In his pursuit of expanding his skills, Yahya travelled to Australia, completing advanced surgical training and becoming a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) through Austin Health. He then spent a fellowship year in the Acute Surgical Unit at Eastern Health in Victoria. Following that, Yahya dedicated three years to subspecialty training in upper gastrointestinal tract surgery and interventional endoscopy through the Australia and New Zealand Gastro-oesophageal Surgical Association (ANZGOSA) program, rotating through various cancer centres in Western Australia and Victoria.

Yahya is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is a member of multiple surgical societies. He stays updated with medical knowledge by attending national and international conferences.
