Dr Yasser Khatib, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a particular clinical interest in hip replacement and revision surgery, knee replacement and revision surgery and the management and treatment of trauma and sports injuries of the hip and knee.
Dr Khatib obtained his medical degree from the University of NSW in 2003. After successfully completing his training, Dr Khatib was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011. He then went on to travel to Toronto, Canada for a Fellowship in Hip & Knee arthroplasty including revision surgery at St Michael’s Hospital in 2012. He completed a Doctorate of Philosophy in the field of knee replacement surgery through the University of New South Wales in 2020. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Khatib has developed a significant interest in teaching and post- graduate study.
He is a senior clinical lecturer at the Sydney University School of Medicine Nepean and is actively involved with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of medical students, junior medical officers and orthopaedic trainees. With his continual involvement,
Dr Khatib is committed to advancing research in the field and has many publications and presentations nationally and internationally.
