Claire completed her training in paediatrics and paediatric cardiology in the UK.  She also worked as a paediatric cardiology fellow for a year in Pittsburgh, USA and following that completed a year as a clinical research fellow in paediatric heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Claire relocated to Australia in 2015 and has been employed as a staff specialist in paediatric cardiology at both Children’s Hospital Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick since January 2015. She also has a position as a senior clinical lecturer for the University of Sydney. Claire is able to provide care for babies, children and adolescents with all forms of cardiac problems or cardiac symptoms and can also provide screening services for children whose family members have significant cardiac diagnoses such as cardiomyopathies.

Claire has experience in the management of all forms of congenital heart disease and cardiac presentations from infancy to adulthood with additional experience in the management of paediatric heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. Part of the assessment of new patients usually includes an echocardiogram which Claire performs herself and subsequently arranges for other cardiac investigations as indicated.
