Dr Safak Goktogan

Dr Safak Goktogan is a general paediatrician who has over 30 years of experience working both in Australia and internationally. Safak first graduated from Hacettepe University in Turkey and went on to complete her advanced paediatrics training at Hacettepe Children’s Hospital. She then moved to Australia in 1991 where she furthered her education by working at The Children’s Hospital Westmead and Canberra Hospital before taking a VMO position at Manly and Mona Vale Hospitals. Through this role she has been a mentor to junior staff and is actively involved in quality improvement and education services.

Safak sees children from newborn to 18 years of age with a wide variety of problems. She has a particular interest in neonates and infants with feeding difficulties as well as growth and developmental issues. Safak is a mother of two who enjoys being active and being involved with the community.
