Dr Soon Lau graduated from medical school at the University of New South Wales with first class honours before undertaking General Surgery Training at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals in Sydney leading to a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He then pursued subspecialty training in Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatopancreatic biliary Surgery by completing the Australian and Aotearoa Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Association Fellowship program and gained expertise in Liver Transplantation at the highest volume liver transplant unit in Australia.
