Associate Professor Tim Schindler attended University of Sydney for his medical degree and worked as an intern and resident medical officer at Gosford Hospital.
Tim then went into paediatric training at Sydney Children's Hospital and has gone on to further subspecialise in the field of neonatology at Royal Hospital for Women. He has worked at Royal Hospital for Women's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for over 10 years and continues to support multitudes of families through their journey as new parents.
Tim is an active clinician researcher, completing a PhD through University of New South Wales in 2016. His research interests include the development of new ultrasound techniques in newborn care and neonatal clinical trials.
Tim is also heavily involved in teaching, providing regular supervision of medical students, junior doctors and higher degree research students from Sydney Children's Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women and University of New South Wales.
Tim started working at Northern Beaches Hospital in 2022 where he sees newborns and infants in consulting rooms. He has special interests in the follow up of preterm infants, infant growth & development, reflux, intolerances/allergies as well as the diagnosis and management of medical conditions affecting infants.
